[MY MISSION] If I won the lottery I'd launch 90 Films.
But I won't win the money, so I'll have to use my brain.

From the Kitchen Table
Dear Filmmaker,
I have this recurring daydream.
In it, I win the lottery.
Let’s call it $100 million.
First $10 million? That goes to the family. They are safe. They are secure. They are done.
That leaves me with $90 million.
And I know exactly what I’d do with it.
I would find the wildest, bravest, most ignored voices in our industry, and I would fund 90 features at $1 million a pop.
No notes. No “marketability” studies. No suits in the editing room.
Just pure, unadulterated creation.
But then I wake up.
I wake up and I realize two things. First, I don’t play the lottery. Second, money is a finite resource.
Even $90 million hits zero eventually.
And if I just wrote checks, I might get 90 movies made, but I wouldn’t have fixed the machine that grinds those movies into dust the second they hit the market.
I wouldn’t have changed the system.
So, I stopped looking at what I wish I had, and looked at what I do have.
I have a law degree.
I know where the bodies are buried in this industry.
I know how the deals are structured, how the rights are stolen, and exactly where the trap doors are that make artists lose control of their life’s work.
I realized I have something way more scalable than cash.
I have knowledge.
My goal isn’t to fund 90 films anymore.
It’s to launch 1,000.
I’m calling it The 1,000 Films Pledge.
Here is the hard truth: The industry thrives on the lie that the “business side” is too complicated for you.
They want you to think it’s boring so you hand it over—along with your copyright—to the “adults in the room.”
I’m here to tell you that you are the adult in the room.
You don’t need a savior.
You just need educational resources.
I am not here to be your lawyer.
I am not here to bill you by the hour.
I am here to download the “Business Affairs” brain—the strategy usually guarded by studio executives—directly into your creative process.
We are going to:
Structure your film so it’s an asset, not a liability.
Secure the Chain of Title so you actually own what you make.
Navigate distribution without signing your life away.
Let’s get 1,000 films made.
But more importantly, let’s make sure you keep them.
Let’s get to work.
